Evans still are growing........

We just have to share one of the many blessings of our family while here on the mission.  Our son Isaac got engaged to a sweet young woman Maddy. Although Isaac has only known Maddy for 5 months our family history crosses paths with Maddy through the experiences our daughter had as she served in Paraguay as a missionary.  It is a long but amazing story.  We are excited to add her to our family!
They will be married one year exactly after Isaac returned home from his mission to Ghana.

Stay True!!

We are realizing more and more that even though the mission life is very hard there is a bubble here of protection, peace and joy.  We have seen so many miracles here in Paraguay!!  All of us have come to love Paraguay, even with the heat!  We know that there are things that our missionaries have been a part of that burns deep within their hearts.  Our only desire is that they will take these things and build on them now.  Become even deeper than they have become here.  As we send you home our thoughts are, stay true always please!!

21, YES!!

We haven't had the opportunity to receive a group of missionaries this big for 2 years!!  Wow, we are so excited to have them as the number of our missionaries is the lowest that it has been for several years.  But though faith and hard work, the numbers of investigators are higher than they have been for many years, investigators in the capilla every week and our baptisms have all continued to grow as we have lost missionaries.  Thankfully these great missionaries that we have will be the trainers of our new ones to keep the momentum going.

Another fun FHE

We got to enjoy the district of Elder Talley in our home last night for FHE.  It was great to study a little the Strength of Youth pamphlet.  We love learning a growing together.
They all seem to like brownies and ice cream!

It may be a little hard to see that we have the back the heads of Elder Talley, Elder Slaughter, Hermana Weech, a little bit of Hermana Page, Hermana Romero, Hermana Gajardo, Elder Brunson and Elder Diestra.

Capilla Abierta and the Beans

We definitely don´t give enough credit to the Beans here in our mission.  The Beans are a wonderful senior missionary couple that came to work in the Presiding Bishops Office here in Asuncion.  President asked if they could help us with the Capilla Abierta program in the mission and they took it and ran!  They have Capilla Abiertas almost every weekend!  This is a program where the church is open and wanting the members to bring friends to visit the church for short explanations of what we believe and what happens in each part of the building.  The missionaries love them and they also help inspect apartments as they travel around the mission.
We all love Elder and Hermana Bean!!
