Paraguay is growing!!

An awesome event took place in our mission today.  We had a new stake created!! We now have the Limpio Stake which makes 10 stakes and 9 districts in all of Paraguay!! As a part of the meeting we had the Luque Stake which is now a little smaller but ready to grow again.   We are so excited to see the excitement and growth of the area.  Not only that but in the meeting a choir of returned missionaries sang.  An entire choir made up of returned missionaries!  Beautiful and wonderful!
We were grateful to have the first missionary in all of Paraguay there who`s father served as the first Branch president of Luque.  He told me that at the first meeting there were 4 people!!  Today there were approximately1,500 gathered in the same building.  What a wonder to see the work roll out.

Planning to Iluminar El Mundo

As part of the training this zone conference we got to have the opportunity to be trained on the Church Christmas initiative Illiminar El Mundo.  We are so excited to try and Light the World with acts of service as a mission!!  Our Assistants Elder Villacreses and Elder Murphy have issued the challege to Light the World in the same manner as the ice bucket challenge and watch the acts of service go viral here in Paraguay!  Plans are already in motion in may wards and stakes to work together with the missionaries.
We got a few group pictures that represent our last round of zone conferences but it seems like there is something else always filling my mind other than pictures.  We sure do have awesome missionaries though!

Planning for sucess!

Concilio is always a wonderful meeting when we meet with the leaders of the mission to set the pace for the next six weeks. Great things happened of which were our Assistants teaching us that there are many ways to try and make a basket but those who know how to do it and have practiced to do it well usually have more success. Application was that we need to practice and study to become the best teachers possible.  The basket is in the same place but we can be better at getting it in.
Elder Cardenas is learning skills
Elder Staheli, well he has got some skills.

Hermana Rodriguez
This change was usual to say the least, our leaving missionaries came in 4-5 days before they actually left so that we could have the opportunity to enjoy our last time in our Paraguay temple before it closed for remodeling.  The weirdest of all was since we needed to leave for the meetings in Argentina before they left for their homes, some of them actually came to the airport to see us off.  What a pleasant surprise! Now it has been a few weeks and we are still missing these important pieces of our heart!

A crazy welcome!

Beinvenidos a la Paraguay!!!  Your here and we are out.... it was crazy because we got 18 wonderful missionaries but the very same day we got them, we had to leave for our semi annual training in Aregentina for a week.  We are excited to have this group and grateful that they were able to move in gracefully.
