Zone Conferences start

Our first week of Zone Conferences this month has taken us to Limpio and Pedro Juan.
Zone conference in Pedro Juan Caballero

Limpio A and B Zone meeting

Birthdays in the mission with PJC

Our zone conference for Pedro Juan Caballero happened to fall on President Evans birthday.  These missionaries where so great and made it an extra special birthday with decorations, cake and pinatas that they had made.  Each had a part that made it a particularly memorable birthday.

New District Leader meeting

We have a new group of district leaders that we had the privilege of having in our home for a training.  We know that these Elders will help us continue to improve the mission.  They all have the desire to work to help each of their districts become the best that they can be.

Growing... Opening a group in Cerrito

July 8 marks the day that a group was opened in Cerrito.  Elder Williams and Elder Gill have been working hard to get everything prepared for this day.  You can´t control the weather and on this very cold, rainy July morning there were still 28 people that showed up.  We had a confirmation the Stake Presidency with us.  We are so grateful that we could be with this group and hope to see them continue to grow.  We know those missionaries will do their part!
Elder Williams provided us with wonderful music off an electric piano on top of a crate

Blessed to have the support of the Stake President

Visiting the zone meeting of Limpio A

Just a drop in for a visit to the District meeting of Limpio A under the direction of Elder Casteñada and Elder Armstrong.

New change and many new leaders

Great group of leaders
Sometimes they still get a little crazy!
We have got some really awesome leaders in the mission right now but we are in a transitional change.  Over the next two changes on third of our missionaries will be new and we will lose more than about 50% of our leadership.  New leaders are going to be our mode for awhile.  For this councilo we talked about what the leaders in our mission do, how they lead and what example they provide.  I got to talk to the leaders about how we can elevate the studying in the mission.
President Evans will ask all missionaries to study the Plan of Salvation for the next 6 weeks and write everything that they can with scripture references on one sheet of paper and then prepare to teach all that to a child.  Each zone was assigned something that they will work with for the next change to become absolutely professional in so that they can help teach the rest of the mission what they have learned.
We have seen our mission grow by leaps and bounds.  We are hitting benchmarks with at least 50 less missionaries than we had 2 years ago.  We are spread thin but our missionaries see blessings.  We are all so grateful to be here!

Changes with our Changes in the mission...

We are seeing a few changes in our everyday office life with this change.  Our very familiar face of Elder Murphy will be leaving after serving in the office and as an assistant.  We are super grateful for all that he has done.  We have a really great group of office Elders right now that are as good as can be asked.  We are so grateful for each and every one of them.
These are the Elders that keep things straight... Elder Schmidt keeps our numbers and baptisms, Elder Ashby does everything, Elder Murphy has lead with Elder Lovelace, Elder Parker is the money man and Elder Cerpa makes sure we have houses and mail.  Whew!  They are awesome!

We are very happy to see the leadership of Elder Cartenega bless our mission even more than it already has as he steps into the position of Assistant serving with Elder Lovelace.

Our Babies are leaving!!

With this group we lost our very first group of Elders that we brought into the mission 2 very short years ago.  We have seen them grow from scared new missionaries to strong leaders in our mission.  It is so hard for us to believe that time has passed so quickly!  As with all or our missionaries we hope to hear and see the amazing things that they will accomplish in the life in front of them.  We are still going to miss you though!
